Imagine a place in Northern California where Nepalese families can gather any day of the week — a permanent home for our community. A space where children learn Nepali language and dance, where elders share stories over tea, where families celebrate festivals together, and where newcomers find support and friendship.
This is UNC's long-term vision: establishing a permanent Nepalese Cultural & Community Center in the North Bay Area. The center would serve as a hub for cultural preservation, education, social gatherings, and community support programs.
Building a community center is ambitious, but it starts with the small steps we take today — growing our membership, organizing cultural programs, raising funds, and building the organizational strength needed to make this dream a reality. Every member who joins, every volunteer who contributes their time, and every donor who gives brings us closer to this goal.
The journey toward a permanent community center is a collective one, and we invite every member of our community to be part of it.
