Exciting and Successful Summer Picnic 2026

Exciting and Successful Summer Picnic 2026

🙏 Thank You, UNC Family! 🙏🌞

What an incredible day we shared together at the UNC Grand Summer Picnic 2026!

On behalf of the entire UNC leadership team, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us at Finley Community Park and helped make this event such a wonderful success. Seeing nearly 400 community members come together with smiles, laughter, friendship, and a true sense of belonging was both inspiring and humbling.

Just a year ago, UNC started with a simple vision—to bring our community together and build a stronger and more connected future. Looking around at the picnic and seeing families, friends, volunteers, sponsors, community leaders, and supporters gathered as one family reminded me how far we have come in such a short time.

The day was filled with joy, delicious food, music, dancing, games, raffle prizes, children's activities, and countless moments of connection. More importantly, it reflected the values that UNC stands for—unity, inclusion, service, and togetherness.

I am especially thankful to everyone who supported our membership drive. We were excited to welcome many new Life Members and General Members into the UNC family. Your trust and confidence in our organization mean so much to us. A special thank you to Mayor Sylvia Lemus, Ron Quintana, and Lauri Fong for becoming Life Members of UNC. We are honored to have your support and friendship as we continue building a stronger community together.

This event would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteers, advisors, donors, sponsors, executive committee members, subcommittee members, and supporters. Our Picnic Coordination Team spent countless hours planning and organizing every detail, while many volunteers worked tirelessly from early morning until late evening to ensure everything ran smoothly. This success truly belongs to all of you.

We are also deeply grateful to community members who generously provided canopies, burners, barbecues, cooking equipment, tables, chairs, and many other resources that helped make the event possible.

Special thanks to our partner organizations and community collaborators, including Awaj Band, Newah Organization, Ek Haun Entertainment, Santa Rosa Kasthamandap Lions Club, AAPAC, and many others whose support contributed greatly to the success of the picnic. We also appreciate our local vendors—Picstopeek (Suraj Mali), Saravi Collection (Sarita Aryal), Nepali Things (Alina Rai), and AAPAC—for being part of this wonderful celebration.

We would also like to sincerely thank our advisors and community leaders for their continued guidance, encouragement, and support. A special acknowledgment goes to Mayor Mark Stapp of Santa Rosa, Mani Paneru, President of NAGC, Preetesh Karki, President of NANC, Uttam Karki, Past President of NANC, Dikpal KC, Vice President of Muktinath Dham, and Ishwor Situla, Past President of NANC. Although they were unable to attend due to prior commitments, they personally reached out with their support and best wishes for UNC and our community initiatives. Their encouragement means a great deal to us.

Most importantly, thank you to every family, every child, every senior, and every community member who came and shared this special day with us. Your presence is what made this event truly meaningful.

As we reflect on this wonderful gathering, we are reminded that UNC's greatest strength is its people. Together, we are building something meaningful, inclusive, and lasting for future generations.

Thank you for believing in UNC. Thank you for supporting UNC. Thank you for being part of our journey.

Together, we are One UNC Family.

With heartfelt gratitude,
